- He has 2 sisters who are both musicians. Jen Blackwood is the lead singer for succesful band The Creepshow. Sarah Blackwood is a singer and sang breifly for The Creepshow when Jen was pregnant.

- He was in the band "Jersey"

- Ian is now the lead singer of "The Artist Life"

- He currently lives in "Toronto."

Acting Credits:
- 2006- He appeared in "Repo! The Genetic Opera" as SWAT/Zytrate Addict

-2006-  He was in "Gospel Of Decit" as Young Ted

-2004-2008-  Ian had a reacurring role on the hit Canadian TV Series "Instant Star." He plays "Kyle Bateman"  Seasons 1-4
